WILL THERE BE A CYCLONE?

We cannot predict the weather but cyclone season in Australia is known to be November to April. If there was a weather event imminent and Wings has cancelled you will get a full refund instantly if you booked direct on wings.com.au. If you booked via an agent you will need to head back to the check in office- it is vital you look at the terms and conditions of your travel agent before booking.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE A RAINY TRIP?

Wings vessels still operate in rainfall. Typically between the months of November through to April we do have tropical rain and you may not get the postcard perfect trip you desired. There are no refunds on a trip that experiences rain and grey skies. Refunds are given if there is a cancellation because of gale force winds and cyclones.

IS WINGS A PARTY BOAT?

Wings are fun sociable tours but we are not a party boat. The atmosphere onboard is relaxing including an eco slide show. We like our passengers to be able to get a good night's rest so they can really enjoy what the Whitsundays has to offer because hey that is what you paid for! In respect of other boats in the areas that we visit, we generally turn the music off at 10pm.

IS THERE AN AFTER PARTY?

On the return night of your trip on land we have an after party at Beaches Backpackers and then onto Paddy Shenanigans. This can be a really enjoyable night on the town and we recommend staying that extra night in Airlie Beach.

I WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE TO MY EXISTING BOOKING?

If you are already booked on a date and give us just 24 hours notice you can just head straight to the check in button on our website and change your date.

SHOULD I HAVE TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Travel Insurance: It is extremely important that you take out Travel Insurance. It is ESSENTIAL that this insurance covers you for involuntary cancellation of your holiday including airfare(s). or road closures At the time of entering your credit card details on the booking form you are agreeing that you have read the Terms & Conditions with whom you are booking with. Read the small print.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

If “Wings” cancel a trip for any reason, we will give you a full refund when a booking is made direct with Wings. If it is necessary for YOU to cancel after 24 hours before the departure, this will result in complete forfeiture of the full price. Where weather / road or airport closures cause you not to be able to make a scheduled departure you should be able to claim the cost of your tour with your travel insurance policy (check your policy terms and conditions prior to purchase).  Last minute cancellations affect our ability to operate trips; when guests cancel in the last 3 days before departure the tour departure may be cancelled at short notice by Wings. This is an unfortunate consequence of giving guests such flexibility with their cancellations. We recommend all travellers take out travel insurance for this reason. Vessels will only wait for up to half an hour for passengers arriving late due to the late arrival of aircraft.
