Tour Information

The Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse precinct has recently been beautifully restored; to preserve the fascinating maritime history of the Cape region. Visitors are rewarded with stunning ocean views from the new observation platform at the base of the lighthouse tower. The sweeping vista takes in the Indian Ocean, Cape Naturaliste, Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and the beautiful Geographe Bay coastline.

Now it is the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse tower that is undergoing significant restoration works; to ensure that the lighthouse continues to play a vital role in protecting shipping as it passes the SW Capes of Australia. This is a historic point in the long history of Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse - having stood since 1903 with just one previous major renovation, it is now needing some care and attention to keep it operating for the next century.

The beautifully restored and heritage-themed 'Lighthouse Keeper's Cottage Cafe' serves delicious cakes, coffee and light refreshments, and the landscaped lawns and nautical-themed playground provide space to sit and enjoy this wonderful heritage precinct.

Video and Agent Chat

Visit the lighthouse precinct during this time of major restoration works - only the second time work on this scale has occurred since construction in 1903. Guides will be onsite to explain the lighthouse history and restoration process.
