On an Outer Great Barrier Reef Addition we allow ample time to include the locations with the correct tides and conditions making it more comfortable for our guests.

On an overnight charter the anchorages and locations will be dependent on the length of charter you choose. The possibilities are endless with 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands to explore! Top Whitsunday 'must do's' on each charter are of course the magnificent Hill Inlet Whitehaven Beach- the picture postcard that really does need to be seen to be believed. Travelling overnight allows us to have the time to pick the best tides to get our guests up there to beat the day crowds and get the best of the swirling silica sands.

South Whitehaven is also top priority and we also try and overnight in the bay which is something only an overnight charter can achieve. Sunset and sunrises here are so special. There are multiple bush walks at South Whitehaven and you can easily spend 1- 2 days here alone if you really want to relax and soak it all in. Your skipper is very knowledgeable on the water and will sail the vessel with the correct weather conditions for each charter. Keeping our guests comfortable is our top priority and the anchorages can vary depending on those conditions. At night we stay in protected bays that help keep the boat stable at night- we do not anchor in open areas.

All our charters depart and return from Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach Queensland. The exact  area is meeting point B at the Northern End - near the roundabout under the white umbrellas. 

If parking a car, the car park is located near the other marina building (Southern End). Download the app Easy park for extended parking or call Coral Sea Marina on  07 4946 2400.

Be careful not to mix up which marina building. Head to google maps if you get into trouble and search for us on there! Remember meeting Point B at the Northern End!

She has a class C, Outer Great Barrier Reef survey which allows her to travel 50 nautical miles past the Whitsunday Islands that can combine the Outer Great Barrier Reef on overnight charters of 4 nights or more.

Where is the Outer Great Barrier Reef?

The Outer Reef is located 50 nautical miles past the Whitsunday Islands and is a magical more untouched area of the region to visit and does take up to 4 hours to get out there.

*Outer Reef private charters are only available for a minimum of 4 days and 3 nights or longer duration.
