Your skipper is very knowledgeable & experienced on the water with over 30 plus years sailing experience and 20 years sailing the Whitsunday Islands & Outer Great Barrier.

Can kids travel on this day tour
Kids 10 and up can travel on the Whitsunday Island Sail SUP & Snorkel Tour- if you have very small children you might be interested in our selection of private charters that can take any ages! Private skippered charters

Does this tour go to Whitehaven Beach?
This day tour does not go to Whitehaven Beach- see map for sample itinerary and anchorages chosen each day depending on daily weather conditions.

Are transfers to Coral Sea Marina included?
Transfers or pick ups to the marina are NOT provided- Airlie Beach main street is only a short scenic walk along the bicentennial boardwalk- very close to central accommodation. If you are staying just out of town you can head into Airlie Beach via local buses or call a taxi 131 008.
Can we still travel if we do not want get in the water?
Absolutely! Wings III is a 60ft air conditioned sailing catamaran with multiple areas to relax onboard and soak up the beauty of the islands while enjoy the journey across the Whitsundays passage. You can choose to do all activities or none at all and simply just enjoy yacht life and the natural island beauty.
Can we snorkel if we cannot swim at all?
No sorry if you cannot swim you are not allowed to enter the water on this tour. If you are a poor swimmer we have extra buoyancy flotation and noodles for you to use for extra safety.
Do you have stinger suits onboard?
We use high quality wetsuits and have many sizes all ready to go onboard. Wetsuits are great for extra warmth, buoyancy and protect you from not only stingers but will protect you from the sun- we highly recommend guests wear them.
So it's not stinger season- do we really need to wear a wetsuit?                                                  We highly recommend guests wear a wetsuit any time of year as there has been sightings of stingers in the Whitsundays outside of the typical season- if the waters are cooler a wetsuit will allow you to spend ample time in the water and stay warm.
Do you still go out if it is raining?
Yes this tour can still depart if it is a rainy day. Sometimes the Whitsundays is not always picture perfect but a few showers of rain is totally ok to travel, there is a full undercover back deck and multiple inside seating areas. The fish below don't know it is raining and you can still snorkel! If weather conditions are cyclonic or gale force winds then we would cancel the tour the day prior.
Does this tour still go if it is windy?
Yes Wings III can handle windy conditions- once you cross the Whitsunday passage the boat would anchor or moor in a more protected area if it was a particularly windy day. Makes fro a great sail experience! If you think you may feel se sick than we recommend to take sea sick tablets prior to boarding. These can be purchased at a chemist or at the kiosk near the marina meeting point.

What a beautiful day on the water. The sail over to the snorkel location was smooth and so relaxing. We felt very comfortable and safe while snorkelling due to the staff professionalism and assistance (was no issue going back to the boat for a smaller mask). Lovely little stop on an island after the snorkel to warm up again. Awesome lunch wraps with 5 different meat choices including turkey and salmon. This was a definite highlight of our trip.

We had the best day sailing with wings, the crew was amazing from the start, the boat itself is beautiful and has these super comfy lounges where you could lay on top of the deck and enjoy the sunshine. Breakfast and lunch was delicious and catered to all kinds of diets (fresh veggies, meats, wraps, dips, crackers and cake as well as unlimited coffee, tea and water), they have glass bottom kayaks which were great for kids (and adults), stinger suits and a crazy amount of snorkels, to make sure everyone finds the right fit. The boat wasn’t overcrowded at all, it was an amazing day trip that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed but fun day out on the reef.
