Guests with special conditions / language difficulties / special needs or any children 8-16 need to email info@wings.com.au to discuss travel options prior to booking; or vessel boarding may be refused and no liability will be taken for any losses. Adults or guardians travelling with children 8-16 need to supply the child's own correctly fitting life jacket / stinger suit and mask if authorised by Wings to travel.

Kosher diets are not catered for due to health regulations.

Due to WPHS regulations passengers who are NON SWIMMERS will not be able to participate in snorkelling and in water activities while on a Wings tour.

ALL PASSENGERS THAT WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN SNORKELLING AND IN WATER ACTIVITIES, MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY ARE ABLE TO SWIM. POOR SWIMMERS WILL BE GIVEN A FLOTATION AID. NON SWIMMERS CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN IN WATER ACTIVITIES.

COVID 19 REFUND POLICY

We understand the uncertainty that covid has brought upon us all. We are a small family owned and operated Australian business and our promise to our direct customers is that if you book on one of our scheduled tours or private charters and you cannot get into QLD because there are sudden border closures we will refund you 100% in full. We will not withhold your money. That is our Aussie promise to you!

CANCELLATIONS AND TOUR DATE CHANGES

Wings Sailing Charters is committed to flexibility for our direct bookings:

  • We have a 24 hour flexible policy which means you can change your tour date or get a full refund for any reason prior to 24 hours of departure if booked directly with Wings.
  • If a "Wings" trip is cancelled by "Wings" for any reason including severe weather conditions, cyclones or mechanical issues, we will give you a 100% full refund.
  • Please check the weather forecast- if you do not like a rainy forecast you have up until 48 hours prior to move your trip freely.
  • If you decide not to travel on the day of departure because it is raining and it may not be the postcard picture tour then you forfeit your trip in full. Remember you have up until 48 hours to change.

  • If you miss your scheduled tour due to road closures or late aircraft you need to claim your trip on travel insurance

Wings Sailing Charters 2 day 2 night tour when booked with a travel agent:

  • When booking with a travel agent- if you need to cancel for any reason including weather / road or airport closures and you are not able to make a scheduled departure you need to claim the loss of your tour with your travel insurance policy (check your policy terms and conditions prior to purchase for the individual tours or individual travel agents).
  • If Wings cancels for any reason including cyclones or mechanical issues you will need to contact your travel agent to choose an alternative boat.
  • If booked with an agent you go by their terms and conditions with refunds.( Keep in mind there will be fees)
  • We recommend all travellers take out travel insurance.
  • Vessels will only wait for up to half an hour for passengers arriving late due to the late arrival of aircraft or you forfeit your tour.

There are no refunds for tours that experience rainfall and grey skies. The Whitsundays and the north Queensland region has a wet season anywhere from November through to early April. Guests who are booked on a Wings 2 day 2 night scheduled tour can change their departure date up to 24 hours prior to departure as long as space is available on the new departure date in the same class of berthing. Date of tour changes can be done at: https://confirm.wings.com.au

PRICING

Our pricing system uses both live pricing and static pricing depending upon the agent and location. It is not uncommon for agents to sell out, alter or withdraw prices including advertised special rates. Once your booking has been confirmed and payment received, any new specials released cannot be applied to existing bookings. Prior to full and final payment being received, we reserve the right to vary prices and rates.

Prices can vary at the discretion of your travel agent or tour operator online. Prices are subject to change. Prices are based on multi share accommodation unless otherwise specified. All prices are per person in AUD and include GST. Prices do not include transfers to and from the marina for vessel departures, air fares, accommodation or extras. For non Wings tours agent pricing may require marine park fees to be paid at check in.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

It is extremely important that you take out Travel Insurance. It is ESSENTIAL that this insurance covers you for involuntary cancellation of your holiday including airfare(s). At the time of entering your credit card details on the booking form you are agreeing that you have read the Terms & Conditions.

SCHEDULES

All departures and itineraries on a Wings scheduled 2 day 2 night tour or private charter are subject to weather and may be changed or cancelled at the discretion of "Wings". We reserve the right to substitute vessels without any notice at any time for any reason. gain if WIngs cancels due to weather you will receive a full refund. If you booked via a travel agent and Wings cancels due to weather you need to go back to your travel agent for your refund by their terms and conditions.

HAZARDS AND RISK

Dangerous jellyfish / marine creatures (including sharks and crocodiles) can inhabit the waters of the Whitsundays. We recommend you take out travel insurance. Clients should note that adventure travel involves risk, whilst we make every effort to safeguard our guests, we cannot be responsible for any damage, personal injury or loss due to the actions of passengers out of our control. Passengers entering the water do so at their own risk.

LIABILITY

Owners of the vessels or operators will not be liable for any personal injury, illness, death or any other consequence whatsoever of passengers being stung by poisonous marine creatures. To minimise this risk we recommend that you wear a full length protective suit 'wet suit' whilst swimming & snorkelling during the cruise. Sharkbanz are also provided on a Wings vessel and we recommend the use of these.

Accordingly, Wings shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any injury to person or property which is suffered or sustained by any passenger as a result of participating in any Wings tour or cruise, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

WINGS 2 DAY 2 NIGHT SCHEDULED TOURS ARE NOT PARTY BOATS

We turn down the music at 22:00. Have fun with new friends made and enjoy a few sunset drinks together! On New Year's Eve the music is turned off at 00:30. Volume is lowered at 22:00. 

In water and land based activities are not permitted to people under the influence or within an 8 hour period of having alcohol. PLEASE DO NOT BOARD THE VESSEL ALREADY UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS.

RESPONSIBILITY OF PASSENGERS ON AUSTRALIAN COMMERCIAL VESSELS "A WINGS TOUR" OR A PRIVATE CHARTER

A passenger on board a domestic commercial vessel must take reasonable care for his or her own safety; and comply with any reasonable and lawful directions of the master or a member of the crew of the vessel, non‑compliance constitutes an offence under Australian law.

A passenger must not interfere with or misuse anything provided on the vessel in the interests of the safety of the vessel.

A passenger must not unreasonably place at risk the safety of another person.

A passenger must not prevent or restrict the master of the vessel from making or implementing a decision that, in the professional opinion of the master, is necessary for the safety of a person or the vessel.

Drugs are illegal in Queensland and drug taking will not be tolerated on-board the vessel. Persons taking drugs will be passed onto the Water Police.

A passenger must not leave the vessel or enter the water after consuming alcohol for 8 hrs without the direct permission of the master.

Passengers who threaten or assault other passengers or crew will be removed from the vessel and passed onto police. Penalty: Imprisonment for 12 months or up to $360,000 fine, or both.

NON WINGS TOURS BOOKED ON THE WINGS WEBSITE

See individual tour operators terms and conditions prior to booking. We recommend you take out travel insurance. The following general terms and conditions apply, however regional circumstances and regulations, contractual obligations to suppliers, and matters relating to location, product type and supply logistics may cause these to be varied slightly for specific products, or specific destinations. These amendments and alterations are shown in the Terms And Conditions sections of each tour operator, and should be read in conjunction with the Terms And Conditions shown below.

Wings Travel has taken due care and responsibility to verify and check all information on our web sites as at the time of compilation, however, as this information is supplied by the relevant accommodation & tour/cruise operators in our brochures, it accepts no responsibility for any inaccuracy or misdescription contained in the publications.

Sales of services as contained on our website are made by Wings Travel only as an agent for the person, business or company providing the services. The standards of accommodation and other services chosen are based on various factors, which are generally accepted as indicative of a certain class.

Wings Travel does not accept responsibility for any change in prices or variation of services as shown, and all services and prices are subject to change without notice.

Wings Travel does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of those service providers in connections with your convention pursuant to a contract between them and yourselves and over whom we have no direct control. We do not accept liability in contract or in tort (actionable wrong) for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or other events which are beyond our control, or which are not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part including, but not limited to war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action.

It is essential that you check with us, or your travel agent, for any changes or variations to the information shown on our web sites. This will allow us to advise you, or your agent, of any such changes that we are aware of either before you book your holiday, or prior to your departure.

QUOTES, RATES, AND PRICE VARIATIONS

Our website system accesses both live pricing and static pricing depending upon the supplier. It is not uncommon for suppliers to sell out, alter or withdraw prices including advertised special rates. If prices, rates or inclusions vary from your quotation or from an advertised price, we will advise you of any change prior to your booking request and any transaction being processed. If you do not wish to proceed with the booking at the new price, you may cancel the booking request at no cost to you. Once your booking has been confirmed and payment received, any new specials released cannot be applied to existing bookings. Prior to full and final payment being received, we reserve the right to vary prices and rates in the event of changes in exchange rates or price rises made by suppliers. If the cost of any service increases due to exchange rate fluctuations, price increases, tax changes or any other reason, you are required to pay the increase when notified by us or you may cancel the booking. We are not liable in any way if any increase occurs due to exchange rate fluctuations, taxes or supplier notifications. All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice.

BOOKINGS - DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS

Travel vouchers and booking confirmations cannot be issued until final payment is received. Any booking not paid in full by the due date is subject to automatic cancellation without further notification. Any deposit paid will be forfeited or, at your request, it may be used as a payment towards an alternative booking. Deposit conditions for certain accommodation and tour products may vary and we will advise you of these conditions and request your consent prior to proceeding with the booking. We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.

BOOKINGS MADE LESS THAN 45 DAYS PRIOR TO TRAVEL

Bookings made within 30 days of travel are payable in full by Credit Card only.

ZERO CREDIT CARD FEES

We dislike companies that add sneaky fees during the booking process as much as you do! So we refuse to do it! ZERO credit card fees and ZERO booking fees. Full stop.

DIRECT DEPOSIT

There are no card fees associated with this form of payment. Direct Deposits must be made 48 hours prior to the due date to ensure funds are received in time.

PAYMENT PROCESSING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By providing your credit card details and accepting our Terms & Conditions. Your bank or credit card provider may apply currency conversion fees. Credit Cards are required to secure bookings if you are travelling within 14 days.

SPECIAL CANCELLATION CONDITIONS

Each accommodation and tour products may apply additional cancellation charges. These cancellation conditions and costs are located under the pricing on the individual operator pages.

CREDIT CARD CHARGEBACK FEES

Any fees charged to Wings Travel by our credit card payment provider arising from a chargeback or a disputed charge on the cardholder's credit card will be charged to the cardholder. This fee is non-refundable.

CHANGE OF ITINERARY AFTER HOLIDAY HAS COMMENCED

Any alteration or cancellation of services after your holiday has commenced can incur penalties. There is no refund for unused services.

REFUNDS

Any refund request  must be in writing, and made directly to the operator of the tour or accommodation. No refunds will be made for services once travel arrangements have commenced. No guarantee is provided or warranted that any refund will be available.

VALIDITY OF RATES

Prices are valid for the dates indicated.

CURRENCY

All rates are quoted in Australian Dollars, or as otherwise indicated.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Wings Travel offers a secure server for your credit card payments. Alternatively, you can call through your credit card details to us or make a direct deposit.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is as specified in the accommodation section of our web sites. All costs are shown in Australian dollars, unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to offer alternative accommodation of a similar standard in the case the accommodation operator overbooks their property or for any reason beyond our control. All rates are subject to change without notice. Not all properties provide instant availability and in these cases Wings Tours checks availability once we receive the booking request.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT TIMES

These vary according to operator. Generally your accommodation check in is 2pm and check out 10am. Please note that most properties will require a credit card authorisation on check-in and may need to see photo identification. In the instance that you don't have a credit card usually a cash bond will be required.

SITE COPYRIGHT

The copyright on all original/custom artwork, maps, navigation elements, presentation methods and design elements included in our web sites is held exclusively by Wings Tours. Copyright on all descriptive text is held by Wings Tours. Copyright on selected photographic images is also held by Wings Tours. Wings Sailing Tours or Wings Tours is not responsible for content on external websites or images/text supplied via API feed from individual tour operators.

Photographic images are reproduced with the permission of Wings Travel and the product and/or service providers represented on the web site, or as shown where necessary to satisfy the copyright obligations associated with their electronic reproduction.Where joint copyright is held over proprietary text or images, Wings Travel reserves the right to pursue all copyright infringements on behalf of the primary copyright holder. Where the copyright for a photographic image is held exclusively by a third party under licence, Wings Travel reserves the right to vigorously protect the copyright of those images on behalf of the third party.
