Airlie Beach is one of the most stunning secluded towns on the East Coast of Australia where the
calm waters of the Whitsunday Islands meet the beaches of our rural little town in Queensland.
Our biggest attraction is the famous Whitehaven Beach, where many walks of life fall in love with
the land, sea, sunsets, sunrises, food and people. Every moment is special out there among the
natural beauty we all hold so close. Not only a beautiful place to see, it is also a place where
the love between many is kindled.
Boat tours, Great Barrier Reef, fishing charters, sailing, scuba diving, snorkelling, sky diving,
bush walking, scenic flights, Mini 4WD tours, relax at the lagoon, dining out, night life, new
friendships, not many leave this paradise. Those who do are sure to be back and will never
forget.
We are not labelled the happiest town of Queensland for nothing, having a fresh consistent stream
of travellers from all walks of life plays a huge part. New faces, full of life and the desire to
learn, explore and make new friends continually surround us. This encourages the locals
appreciate all the different luxuries of our home here in the Whitsundays.
Best time of year is from March through to October as the waters are calm and crystal clear. The air is pleasantly crisp with cooler nights, minimal humidity no bugs and warm water temperatures.
Best way to get to Airlie beach is via one of Australia’s larger airports to Hamilton Island Airport or Proserpine Airport. Very few will fly direct and you will need to purchase bus or ferry tickets to reach Airlie Beach.
